1) The Russian word например has more specific equivalents in English, with all of them usually beginning with LIKE:
— I’d like to visit some interesting places. — Like where?
— We’ll probably meet some strange people there. — Like who?
— Sometimes he does most bizarre things/ — Like what?
2) Here are some colloquial words meaning “a big number/a large amount”:
— You want me to clean all the tables? But this is a shitload of work!
If you are a well-bred person you’d better avoid it, because most people find this word offensive. It is used when people want to let off steam a little.
Slew is a less abusive word, but still it will color your emotional speech.
— They asked me a slew of questions!
