Цель урока: обобщить и
проконтролировать знания учащихся по теме «Американские праздники»
Задачи:1)
воспитательная: воспитывать у учащихся чувство уважения к истории и
культуре страны изучаемого языка, а через это и к своей родной национальной
культуре;
2) практическая: провести
практику устной речи, чтения и письма, активизировать лексику по теме
«Праздники»;
3)развивающая: развивать
творческую фантазию и инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной деятельности, а
также познавательные интересы учащихся.

I.Подготовительный этап.
1.Оргмомент.
Учитель: Good morning, boys and girls! I am really very
glad to see you. Please take your seats. How are you, children?
Дети: We are fine, thanks. And you?
Учитель: I am fine too. Thank you. Let`s start our
lesson. At the previous lessons we spoke much about different holidays. Today
we have the final lesson of the third unit "Celebrate”. The theme of the lesson
is "American Holidays” The aim is to remember the main holidays, their symbols
and ideas and have fun.

Учитель: First of all answer my questions about

Учитель:Well, right you are. It is on the 25th of December. The first
holiday we`ll speak about is Christmas.
- Let`s start with poems. Will you,

There is a text on it. I want you to read this text and then answer some

Учитель: Well, the next holiday, one of the most
beautiful and kindest, is St. Valentine`s Day. When is it celebrated? That`s
it. What do you know about this holiday? (P1 P2 P3)
1)It`s a day of love and friendship.
2)People send greeting cards to their
sweethearts and friends.
3)The students also decorate their
classrooms with big red hearts.
4)They give flowers and chocolate to
the sweethearts, friends and family.
5)People ask their sweethearts to "Be
my Valentine”
- By the way, what does "Be my Valentine” mean?
It
means "be my friend or love”

Your hometask was to prepare a project about this day. Who is eager to defend

about the most important holiday in the USA, Independence Day. Why is it so
important? I offer you a role-play, telebridge between Russian and American

Учитель: Well done, and the
last holiday we`ll discuss is Thanksgiving Day. As you know it is celebrated on
the fourth Thursday in November. People gather at home to give thanks for all
the good things in their lives. On the screen we have got some sentences about
this holiday. I`d like you to choose the right answer in each sentence on your
own in written form. Take your cards and do the task. (звучит спокойная музыка)

Учитель: Well, children, I am

2. Домашнеезадание
- At home you should
create your own greeting card with the inscription, devoted any holiday you
like.
