Community Bank
An institution that makes loans and takes deposits in one town and possibly  the surrounding areas.

Communications Planning
 The process of identifying who will need what information, when they will  need it, and how the information should be formatted and disseminated.

Communication  The fow of information and meaning between two or more people or orga- nizations so that all concerned parties have an equal understanding.

Common Stock Shares that represent the ownership interest in a corporation; common  stockholders are allowed to vote on company initiatives and are distributed  dividends.

Common Law
Rules that have been made from judicial decisions or custom without the aid  of written legislature.

Commodity
 Goods in the form of products that are bought and sold based on market supply and demand. Commodities are often traded on commodity exchanges.

Commoditization
The rate at which products and services move from a diferentiated mar- ket to a commodity market; the transformation of what is normally a non-  commodity into a commodity.

Commitment Te trait of sincere and steadfast fxity of purpose; an agreement or pledge to  perform an act at a certain point in the future.

Commercial Bank State or nationally chartered bank that accepts demand deposits, grants  business loans, and provides a variety of other fnancial services. Typically  used by the entrepreneur as an asset lender.

Comfort Zone
 The arena of activities that a person, team, or organization has done often  enough to feel comfortable doing; a type of mental conditioning resulting  in artifcial mental boundaries, within which an individual or team derives  a sense of security.
