Clicks and Mortar
An integration of both online and traditional business; business that has  both a traditional business model and an Internet model; dual channels of  distribution and customer experiences, face-to-face and e-commerce; also  called bricks and clicks.

Classifed Board
A board structure in which part of the board is elected each year.

Chief Operating Offcer (COO)
An executive who oversees the day-to-day operations of a company.

Chief Financial Offcer (CFO)
The corporate executive responsible for the fnancial planning and tracking  of a company; member of the executive team who represents the frm in the  fnancial world.

Chief Executive Offcer (CEO) Highest-ranking corporate ofcer who provides leadership for the enterprise; appointed by the board of directors.

Chart of Accounts
A list of accounts that make up a frm’s accounting system and provide man- agement with the information needed to make good business decisions.

Charge-Back
Credit that a merchant is compelled to issue to a cardholder’s account electronically.

Character
A distinguishing feature; a complex of mental and ethical traits marking a  person or a group or a team; attributes that determine a person’s moral and  ethical actions and reactions.

Chaos
Unpredictability; complex, dynamic, nonlinear, co-creative and far-fromequilibrium systems and organizations; the result of too much change too  fast.

Chaordic Organizations
An organization that can move from order to temporary chaos and back  again without crisis; a form that facilitates connection and collaboration  among members, teams, and groups; anything simultaneously orderly and  chaotic.
